The Boston Public Schools wanted to explore the feasibility of creating a new high school for the visual and performing arts within an existing school facility. The Pro-Arts Consortium, a group of arts colleges in Boston, sponsored the feasibility study in which we conducted extensive interviews with college educators who would in turn be developing the new curriculum for the school. We produced and reviewed multiple layouts, a full engineering analysis, and cost estimates – all of which served as a model for the design and construction of the Academy. |
